Ingredients
-
Sure Shot Sid’s Original Gunpowder Seasoning
-
1 rack Beef Plate Ribs
-
Tallow or Oil for binder
-
2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
-
2 cups Water
Spritz Ingredients
Directions
Preheat the smoker to 250 °F. If using wood, use a blend of or either mesquite, oak, or hickory.
Prepare the beef ribs: Trimming beef ribs requires little to no effort – remove any hard fat, silverskin or hanging pieces from the exterior. Do not remove the membrane from the back.
Apply a thin layer of oil or tallow binder of choice to all sides of the beef ribs.
Season beef ribs with a generous amount of Sure Shot Sid’s Original Gunpowder Seasoning.
Place beef ribs in the smoker. Smoke for 7 hours, spritzing every hour with the apple cider vinegar & water mixture.
After 7 hours, your beef ribs should read 200 °F internal.
Remove beef ribs and let rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
Recipe Note
Pro Tip: Cooking this for the holidays? Add a layer of Prime Time Buttery Beef Rub by PS Seasoning to add a more herb-forward flavor to your beef ribs.
