Ingredients
-
Colorado Campfire by The Spice Guy
-
Mis' Rubin's Magic Steak Marinade
-
1 Porterhouse Steak
-
Cooking Oil
Directions
Marinate the porterhouse in Mis' Rubin's Magic Steak Marinade for at least 30 minutes.
Using firewood or charcoal, light a fire in your fire pit or grill and let it burn down to coals with partial wood still burning. We suggest using hickory or oak.
Remove Porterhouse from marinade and wipe with a paper towel. Apply cooking oil as a binder (we suggest tallow, duck fat spray, avocado oil or canola oil).
Season the porterhouse with Colorado Campfire by The Spice Guy.
Place the porterhouse on a grate directly over the coals and minimal flame. Grill for 3 minutes each side x 2 and until the internal temperature has reached 130 °F in the filet portion and the crust has developed.
Remove the porterhouse and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Let rest, separate the filet and strip from the bone, and slice.
