Cajun Style Barbecue Ribs


Enjoy fall-off-the-bone goodness of spare ribs with a Cajun twist! Try using hickory wood chips to add flavor to your ribs. We suggest using Vaughn Wood Products hickory wood -- a vendor frequently featured in the Grill Masters Club box.

  • Grill


  • 3 lb Spare Ribs or Back Ribs
  • Marinade

  • 1 cup Hickory Smoke BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Red Pepper (or Cayenne)
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Celery Seed
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed Thyme Leaves


  • Set ribs aside.

  • Mix remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan, bring to a soft boil.

  • Place in a glass container along with ribs.

  • Marinate the ribs for 3 to 4 hours in the refrigerator.

  • Wipe grill with olive oil and preheat.

  • Place ribs on grill.

  • Grill for 8 to 10 minutes.

  • Turn once.

  • Brush with marinade.

  • Enjoy!
