Ingredients
-
Roasted Garlic Blend by The Spice Guy
-
Croix Valley Cran-B-Cue™ BBQ Sauce
1/2 Spiral Cut Smoked Ham (6-8 lb)
1 stick (1/2 cup) Butter, cubed
1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
Fresh Thyme & Rosemary
Directions
Preheat your smoker or grill to 325 °F, using hickory wood.
Place ham in a cast iron skillet (bone side up) add 1 stick of butter (cubed) and roughly 8 sprigs of thyme and rosemary.
Pour a 1/4 cup of Croix Valley Cran-B-Cue™ BBQ Sauce over the ham and gently rub it in to cover all surfaces.
Add 2 Tbsp of Roasted Garlic Blend by The Spice Guy to 1 cup of dark brown sugar. Season the ham with the mixture.
Smoke ham at 325 °F for 2.5 hours.
After the first 30 minutes, baste with the glaze formed in the bottom of the pan using a spoon.
Remove from your smoker, let cool, and serve with the glaze. Enjoy!
Recipe Note
Pro Tip: For a deeper smoke flavor, smoke the ham at 220 °F for 4 hours before increasing the temperature to 325 °F for 1 hour in order for the glaze to set. We picked 325 °F for this protein not only because it works best for maximum texture and flavor, but also because it can smoke simultaneously with the turkey.
