Ingredients
-
Lone Star Carnivore by Miners Mix
-
4 lb of Whole Chicken Wings
-
1 Stick (½ Cup) Butter, melted
-
Cooking Oil
Directions
We’re cooking these wings on a charcoal grill however, feel free to cook on a grill of your choice using the given temperatures as a guide.
Prepare charcoal briquettes: Using a chimney or method of choice preheat your smoker or grill to 300 °F, place briquettes on one side of the grill.
Prepare the wings. If you have not already sectioned the wings, separate the flats from the drums. Pat dry with a paper towel. Add to a large mixing bowl.
Season the wings. Apply a light coating of olive to act as a binder then season with Lone Star Carnivore by Miners Mix.
Place wings on the grill directly over the coals and char 2 minutes each side.
Move wings away from coals, close the lid of the grill, leaving ½ the vent open, and continue to cook for 45 minutes.
Remove lid, and baste wings with 1 stick of melted butter and 4 Tbsp of lemon juice. Place wings back over the white coals to char an additional minute each side or until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
