Ingredients
- Gourmet BBQ Smoke 'Ems Wood Chips by Bear Mountain BBQ
- Water
- Ice Tray
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 1 tsp Water
- 3 dashes of Angostura Bitters
- ½ tsp Sugar
- Smoked Ice
- Orange Peel (garnish)

Smoked Ice Instructions
- Start your grill or smoker and set temp to 225 °F or lower (you don’t want to boil off all of your water – you’ll be freezing it to make smoked ice).
- Add enough water to an aluminum baking pan to fill up 1-2 ice cube trays.
- Use one packet of Gourmet BBQ Smoke 'Ems Wood Chips by Bear Mountain BBQ to smoke the water for 20 minutes. Remove from your grill or smoker and pour water into the ice cube trays and freeze.
Smoked Ice Old Fashioned Instructions
- Combine sugar, water, and bitters in a rocks glass and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add a couple of smoked ice cubes to the glass, then add the bourbon. Lightly stir to combine.
- Run the orange peel around the glass, give it a quick squeeze and drop it in the glass.
