This Citrus Smoked Salmon is perfect for a weeknight meal or for a refreshing backyard BBQ on a hot summer's day!

Ingredients
- Palisade Peach BBQ Rub by The Spice Guy
- Lane’s Pineapple Chipotle Sauce
- 1 whole Salmon Filet
- 3 Oranges
- Parsley for garnish
Directions
- Marinate the whole salmon filet for at least 1 hour using Lane’s Pineapple Chipotle Sauce.
- Preheat the smoker or grill to 220 °F using hickory or charcoal.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade, and season the salmon with Palisade Peach BBQ Rub by The Spice Guy.
- Slice oranges about 1/2 inch thick and place on a baking sheet, cedar plank, or cast iron griddle pan. Lay the salmon on top of the orange slices.
- Place on the smoker and cook for 1.5 hours at 220 °F.
- Baste with Lane’s Pineapple Chipotle Sauce every 30 minutes. Increase temperature to 275 °F and smoke for an additional 20-30 minutes or until salmon reaches 165 °F internal temperature.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro.
- Slice into sections and enjoy!
Recipe Note
Pro Tips: Serve with fresh vegetables and a starch or over a cobb salad. For a faster cook, grill the salmon at 375 °F for 30-45 minutes.
